Carl Dillon Selected for BRAC Leadership Class

UREC is pleased to congratulate Carl Dillon, Director of Operations, on  being selected for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber’s (BRAC) Baton Rouge Area Leadership Program, Class of 2016. BRAC’s leadership program was founded in 1985 for the purpose of preparing a diverse group of professionals for leadership positions in the community.

Carl joins 39 colleagues and distinguished class members from public and private agencies, corporations, civic, and other organization for the nine month leadership program.  Throughout the duration of the program, members will engage in a variety of learning opportunities, including lectures, discussions, field trips, and practical exercises pertinent to community issues.

As Director of Operations, Carl provides strategic leadership and guidance for Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation’s daily operations by overseeing UREC’s fiscal, administrative and operational initiatives.  Carl holds a MBA from Louisiana State University and has over 7 years of experience in housing development and property management. He is also certified by the National Development Council as an Economic Development Finance Professional. Currently, Carl is a fellow in the Louisiana Housing Corporation’s Affordable Housing Development program.  His participation in the Baton Rouge Area Leadership Program will add value to his community development work at UREC and throughout North and Greater Baton Rouge.
