Urban Garden Subdivision. Where families and homeowners blossom.

Urban Garden was UREC’s first major neighborhood development project, which brought 21 spacious, elegant and modern single-family dwellings to first time homebuyers in North Baton Rouge. Located at the site of the old Hollywood Elementary School, the subdivision offers the first newly constructed homes built in the area in more than 50 years. The subdivision’s site plan was prepared by the Southern University School of Architecture and encompasses 21 single-family residences.

Urban Gardens offers four distinct floor plans, which range from 1,500 to 1,975 square feet.

• The Monroe — Three- & four-bedroom options, two baths, 1,570 square feet
• The Ross — Three- & four-bedroom options, two baths, 1,538 square feet
• The Delgado — Three- & four-bedroom options, two baths, 1,975 square feet
• The Cantrelle — Three- & four-bedroom options, two baths, 1,648 square feet

UREC worked closely with a team of local and regional certified community development partners, financial institutions, realtors, insurance agents and partners from the community, social services and economic development sectors to complete the project, which is fully owner-occupied.
