Krishawndalyn Clark Earns the 2025 Ronnie Edwards Scholarship

Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation (UREC) is honored to announce that Krishawndalyn Clark is the 2025 Ronnie Edwards Scholarship recipient. A native of Baton Rouge and resident of Port Allen, La., Krishawndayln graduated as valedictorian of Port Allen High School’s Class of 2025 with a 4.2 grade point average.

While in high school, she participated in the UREC Academy Pre-Law & ACT Prep Institute where she learned the fundamentals of law and developed test taking skills that helped her increase her ACT score from 23 to 28.

“The program allowed me to shadow attorneys, develop trial skills, deepen my critical thinking and advocacy skills, and boosted my confidence,” Krishawndalyn said. “I appreciate the mentoring and inspiration I received from the program’s staff and Attorney Erica Williams-Bell who served as our pre-law instructor. They created a space where my voice mattered and empowered me to speak up for myself and others.”

Krishawndalyn is currently enjoying her first semester at Louisiana State University where she is in enrolled in accelerated program that will allow her to earn a earn a bachelor’s in political science and a law degree in under six years.

“My family, community, and UREC gave me more than just knowledge and experience.  They gave me a vision of what’s possible when we invest in youth, especially those from underrepresented communities,” she said.
