Leadership & Determination Define Path for Future in Nursing

Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation (UREC) is honored to announce that Harmoni Proctor is the 2026 Ronnie Edwards Scholarship recipient.

Equipped with focus and determination, Harmoni excelled at Southern University Lab School during high school by taking advantage of leadership, service, dual enrollment, and career-focused opportunities that aligned with her dreams to become a neonatal nurse.

Among her achievements, Harmoni completed the UREC Academy Certified Nursing Assistant program for high school students and successfully earned certification with a graduating cohort that achieved a 100% pass rate on the state licensing exam.

She also served as president of her high school class and graduated magna cum laude with a 3.82 grade point average. Overall, Harmoni earned more than $100,000 in scholarship offers and enough college credits to start her college journey as a second-semester freshman at Southeastern Louisiana University, where she will study nursing.

“While in college, I also hope to gain opportunities where I can put my CNA certification into practice,” Harmoni said. “Understanding Mrs. Edwards’ purpose and calling to establish UREC inspires me to use her legacy as a blueprint for service—showing how I can impact the lives of others through giving back.”
