(Baton Rouge)- The Board of Directors of Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation (UREC) has appointed Gearry Williams as a new board member. Williams brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in management, business development, budget analysis, and operations to UREC.
He currently serves as Assistant Secretary for the Office of Aging and Adult Services within the Louisiana Department of Health, following a distinguished 17-year career with the State of Louisiana. His prior roles include Undersecretary for the Office of Juvenile Justice, where he oversaw statewide operations, federal funding, and key program areas. Williams also holds extensive executive-level experience in finance and banking.
A native of Alexandria, La., Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Northwestern State University.
