Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation (UREC) is pleased to announce that the application process for the 2016 North Baton Rouge (NBR) Youth Development Program is open now through Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
The NBR Youth Development Program is UREC’s signature spring and summer initiative for youth in grades 9 through 12. The program provides participants with career preparation, workforce development, academic enrichment and business development skills in professional and collegiate environments. During the summer initiative, NBR Fellows are assigned to exclusive internship opportunities at local businesses and public service organizations. The internships are structured to align closely with each participant’s future career aspirations.
Applicant Requirements
- Letter of recommendation from high school teacher or administrator, employer or clergy
- Copy of student’s high school transcript; 3.0 GPA required
- Completed NBR Youth Development Program Application
- Copy of 2015 Income Tax Return OR three most recent check stubs for ALL household members who are employed
