Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation (UREC) is now accepting applications for the 2016-2017 College & Career Ready afterschool program—a 21st Century Learning Initiative in partnership with Southern University’s College of Business. College and Career Ready is open to high school students in grades 9 through 12, and offers interactive enrichment workshops in ACT preparation, college readiness, campus tours, academics, career exploration and more throughout the academic year.

The program will run from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM on Mondays – Wednesdays prior to schools’ winter breaks and on Mondays – Thursdays after schools return from their breaks.  There is no cost to participate.  As an incentive, participants will have preference to UREC’s signature NBR Youth Development Program, which offers paid stipends, career focused internships and entrepreneur training to participants during the summer months.

For more information or to enroll a student, contact Kathryn Robinson, Program Director, at (225) 356-8871 ext. 204 or krobinson@urecbr.com.

UREC is pleased to offer College & Career Ready with the support of AT&T Louisiana, ExxonMobil, the Capital Area United Way (Impact Program), and Southern University’s College of Business.
