Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation will host the 2024 UREC Academy Technology  & ACT Prep Institute from June 29 – Aug. 2, 2024. The institute is open to Baton Rouge area high school students and will take place at Southern University College of Business, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Some weekends are required. The program will feature an IBM Skills Academy Bootcamp where youth will earn micro-credentials in artificial intelligence and design thinking while gaining hands-on technology experience. The institute will also include an ACT Prep Bootcamp; all participants must register for the July 13 ACT exam.

There is no cost to participate.
