Apply to UREC’s 2018 IGNITE Fellowship

 

Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation is accepting applications for the 2018 College & Career Ready IGNITE Fellowship.  IGNITE is an interactive summer and after-school initiative that prepares high school students to create the jobs of tomorrow through entrepreneurship training, college and career readiness and ACT Prep. Complete the IGNITE Fellowship application here.

Program Details & Dates

  • Entrepreneurship Boot-camp
    (July 16th – August 3rd)
    In the summer portion of the IGNITE Fellowship, students will be introduced to the principles of entrepreneurship and will learn how to develop their own business plan. Local businesses and organizations will provide on-site learning opportunities. Program hours will be during the day, Monday through Friday.

 

  • ACT Prep & College and Career Readiness
    (September 4th – November 17)
    In the fall, students will further prepare for future careers by focusing on college readiness. The second component of the IGNITE Fellowship combines continued entrepreneurial training and ACT tutoring. The program culminates with participation in ACT testing and a final pitch of each student’s business plan. The fall portion will be held after school hours.

 

  • Students are required to participate in both components in order to complete the program.
