2015 NBR Fellows visit to Kean Miller LLP of Baton Rouge.

Providing North Baton Rouge high school students with access to college and career readiness opportunities are two key components of UREC’s North Baton Rouge Youth Development Program (NBR).  This summer, 10  students  participated in a power packed summer experience where they:  gained career development experience;  focused on ACT preparation;  and participated in learning seminars with business leaders.

Aundrea Lee, third year NBR Fellow, was assigned to the East Baton Rouge Law Offices of the Public Defender’s worksite.  She said, “I came back to the program because of the learning experience and opportunities I have been given over the years. It has benefitted me, and I want to continue to grow.”
