Urban Restoration Enhancement Corporation’s UREC Academy Trailblazers is offering a 3-week Technology Institute Featuring IBM Skills Academy Bootcamp to high school students in the Baton Rouge area. During the program, participants will gain hands-on technology experience and earn micro-credentials in data science and data thinking.
The Technology Institute will take place July 17 – 29, 2023, 9AM to 4PM at Southern University College of business. There is no cost to participate. Interested applicants can APPLY HERE.
UREC is offering the institute through partnerships with Southern University College of Business, IBM Skills Build, Huey & Angelina Wilson Foundation, and Capital Area United Way.

Eligibility
Open to all high school students in the greater Baton Rouge area with a GPA of 2.5 or above

- The student’s most recent transcript (with GPA included)
- Proof of income for ALL household members over the age of 18
